The Edmond Grizzlies won their first game Saturday, 4-1, versus the previously unbeaten Pirates. It was a "Chilling Affair". Temperatures hovered around freezing causing some of the Grizzly players to lose feeling in the extremeties. The Grizzlies were without the services of Blake Tinkle and Billy Freniere in the both games, and lost Louis Bausteret for game #2.
The second game was a "Hard Hitting Affair". Both teams were very physical and the boys seemed to have loved every moment of it. The rigor of playing a second game took its toll on the young Grizzlies, as they lost 7-2. It was a valiant effort. Every one of the boys is to be commended.
Our next game is scheduled for 12:45pm, this Saturday. Practices will be held at 5:45-7:30pm this Tuesday and Thursday.
